Bought some things for my nephew

I went shopping yesterday. No surprise there since I am addicted to spending money. Anyways, I picked up some neat things for my little nephew Marquis.

I got him this adorable t-shirt, a Winnie-the-Pooh baseball cap, a straw hat, and even some gardening gloves. I think the gloves may be a little big for his hands but we’ll see when I put them on him when he comes over again.

In fact, I just can’t wait until he comes over. I miss him already and he’s only been gone a few days. LOL! I just love coming home from work then getting a chance to play with him because his laugh and smile make me laugh too. It’s so darn cute!!

See what I mean in the picture off to the right side. How can you say no to a face like that? I sure can’t because he’s too adorable!!

Man, I can’t wait to have my own children. I’ll definitely spoil them rotten too just like I am with my nephew. Hopefully I’ll get another nephew or even a niece after my other sister Lisa gets married later on this year. Now that would be even more fun!! LOL!

I’ve always loved working with children. That’s why I’m an Early Childhood Education graduate. It was fun while working alongside children of all ages and seeing how they solve problems. In fact, I can’t wait until my nephew is in the preschool ages. To me, that’s the most fun time for a child with learning lots of new things.

My Love <3

Anyone who knows me, knows how much I love my little doggy named Ginger. Heck, she even has her own blog! She just turned 10 this year (in human years). I’ve had her ever since she was a baby. I guess you can say it was an Easter gift from my Godfather who gave both my cousin and I a puppy as we were his god children. It was really really nice and I thank him from the bottom of my heart.

Sadly, our families don’t get along anymore due to a tragic event that happened between everyone on my father’s side of the family. No one gets along anymore except for my family and my cousin’s (ie: the other godchild). Everything happens for a reason, and the universe has a plan for us all. So maybe…just maybe…the ties between are families were broken for a reason other than the fight.

But nevertheless, I’m just happy that my baby girl is with me. We do everything together! Sleep, eat, and play. She even wakes me up in the morning if my feet are hanging off the side of the bed. It really is hilarious. The best part is knowing that when I go home, she’ll always be the first one to come running to greet me. Nothing in the world beats that feeling of being loved by not just someone but another living creature on God’s beautiful world.

Without further ado, here is my baby girl.

Gotta Love Contests!!

babyeinsteinfirstsounds.jpgI can’t believe the amount of awesome contests there are on the web. Thanks to some fellow bloggers, I have entered and won a few.

A new one I am entering in today is just amazing. Why? Well, the prize is a nifty Baby Einstein: Baby’s First Sounds dvd. This is just perfect for my little nephew who will be six months in May.

The contest is being held by Elizabeth over on her blog at Table for Five. There are even three ways to get an entry for the contest. It’s as easy as 1-2-3. Comment, blog, and nominate. EASY! Check it out yourself as the contest is running until Monday April 21st at 9:00am (EST).

Free Music = Awesome

Yup…that’s exactly why I’m entering in a wonderful contest.

itunesgiftcard.PNGJenn at kitty.nu is giving away a $15 iTunes gift card! Participating in the contest is as easy as creating a blog entry that links to the contest. For more information, see the official contest blog entry: Win an iTunes gift card!

What better way to get music when it’s completely legal and FREE!! I’ve been thinking about getting a silver iPod Nano 8GB for awhile now. I have been slowly saving some money for it - primarily the money I earn online. So winning an iTunes gift card would be super as the first songs I’d put on my iPod would be free. Sweet!!

Wish me luck as there are many other entries from fellow bloggers. Good luck to everyone else too!!

Do YOU see it??

My friend Roz was looking at some of my photographs. When she came across one of them, she said it looked like a globe. The crazy thing is, it was never suppose to look like anything besides an egg and melted butter. LOL!

See for yourself. It looks like a globe of the world when you back away from it. Pretty neat I think.
